Extend Remote Antenna - Canadian TV, Computing and Home Theatre Forums

My remote #2 (UHF) is working fine.

I want to put the antenna for the Remote Antenna input in another room.

I have connected a RG6 cable to the Remote Antenna input and attached the atenna to the other end.

The PVR is not responding to my remote #2 with this set up.

Any help would be appreciated.

That should work. You can extend it with any RG6 or RG59 cable.

Try putting an old pair of rabbit ears at the other end if you happen to have them.

Make sure that your connections to the receiver and antenna are secured. I have a similar setup for my Slingbox with the Dish TV2 IR converter kit and found the connections finicky. If I wiggled the connections it seemed to fix it.

I may have another antenna around somewhere and will try that too
