Default Will my Koodo Galaxy Ace work for 3G with AT&T?

I will be spending a lot of time in the US and need a good pay as you go solution.

Originally I was going to go with T-Mobile, but their coverage is terrible where I will be.

I have a Koodo Samsung Galaxy Ace that I can unlock. Will it work as a "GoPhone" pay as you go with AT&T at 3G speeds? Will I be able to tether with it?

I tried searching Google and here but came up empty. Thanks.

If unlocked it will provide 3G speeds on AT&T's network. As long as AT&T allows you to tether, it will work for that too.
