After much digging and waiting I finally picked up a copy of "Every Which Way But Loose" in that bin. Now I wait for the sequel. "Right turn Clyde" |

Be careful of any Sony/Columbia titles in the bin. I bought The Deep a couple of months ago and it turned out to be one of Sony's new, dumbed down for Wal-mart, P&S-only editions.

P&S-only edition:
http://www.dvdsoon.ca/show-title-details.xml?uid=6139 P&S/Widescreen edition: http://www.amazon.ca/exec/obidos/ASI...569306/sr=1-9/ It didn't occur to me to check the specs when I bought the P&S version... my mind was otherwise occupied picturing Jacqui Bisset in a white bikini. |

Ursula Andress would qualify...
http://www.jamesbondmm.co.uk/bond-gi...ess.php?id=006 The Deep, with it's Bermuda backdrop and underwater photography, makes for great eye candy, particularly on a big screen. I thought the ending was a little abrupt though. Like maybe they shot a closing scene that didn't survive the editing room. Don't know how the book ends. |

All bets are off. There are apparently 3 different DVD editions of The Deep in circulation...
I went into my local Wal-mart today and all I could find were copies looking identical in appearance to the widescreen edition (as shown at Amazon), but they were spec'ed on the back as "Fullscreen" only, widescreen not indicated. *ugh!* |
