Thanks guys!! And thanks Darkman for the links. I checked them out, and I for one, did like The Gift, but hadn't remembered that it was a (later) Raimi film. I remembered his name, and knew that I had liked one of his works, but just couldn't put a movie title to it. Cheers!!

You've inspired me johnp'in'bc. I went back and checked the link and decided to duck out of work early and go to Walmart to raid the bin. Maybe I'll find myself in there

Good luck!! The bin at my local Wal-Mart was rather full today -- with several newly-added titles to the mix.

For those (still) looking for 'Dark City' and 'Waterworld' -- I didn't see either.

Found myself in the bin! Also got Pacific Heights & Starman. Didn't see Where Eagles Dare or Jumanji, Waterworld nor Dark City.

You really do need a good half hour to go through that bin, but it can be worth it.

SCORE!

OK folks. Dark City *AND* Waterworld are both in today's batch of discs. Persistence pays off :-)

You may want to wait until this afternoon to pick them up to give the Wallymart folks time to get them out...

Incidentally Dark City is a "flipper" with Widescreen on one side and Foolscreen on the other, and (as near as I can tell) the same extras on both sides? Weird. There is also an audio commentary track by Roger Ebert... interesting...

What are the chances of Waterworld being the DTS version?

I picked that one up a couple weeks ago too. I was pretty surprised to find it in the bargain bin.

I also found "Cannonball Run" !!!! Great movie (Sadly NO DD5.1)

Yeah, that one features Jamie Lee Curtis in the nude! That alone is worth $6.88!

I still didnt find the Waterworld or Dark City

Those MGM titles are everywhere: shoppers drug mart, canadian tire, walmart, safeway. FS has them for two for $15.

Cocoon is in there too along with Starman - a couple of pretty good 80's movies.

It's in the bin at my local Wal-Mart today - and 'no', it's not a 'DTS' version.
