I never see good ones in there.
But the majority of movies I see in the cheapy bin could be in the trash bin. |

I just picked up the Hitchcoc k Signature Collection at Wal-mart for a very good price. At $73.83, that's 9 quality movies for a little more than $8 each. NxNW is in a keep case now, gone is the snapper.
I also rescued The Vikings from the $8.66 MGM rack. |

I just found "Cast Away" in the cheap bin at FS for $9.99. It came with a DTS sound track so I bought it. Not a bad movie.

Sometimes you have to dig real deep in the bargain bin to find the good stuff. There are days there's nothing good in them too. That's why it pays to check the bin every now and then. Zellers is doing the bargain bin as well. Yesterday I picked up the original OAR 6 disc Planet Of The Apes box set there for only 39 bucks.

The CastAway double pack (forget the other movie) at FS is actually the Foolscreen version... what format is the $9.99 one?

I noticed that the 2 movies I grabbed (Doc Hollywood and something else) both had no menus... the movies inserts then plays right away... even looking at the disc with a dvd ripper software (not ripping just looking) proved no menus... odd I thought...

These are not the high end extra-features versions but that is fine with me. The only complaint I have is that some of them are full screen and the printing is too small for me to figure out which version it is. I'm going to have to start carrying a magnifying glass.

Wally has a dts version of Die Hard for $7.88. I wish I'd seen this before I bought the Trilogy for $40.
Also there are some old flicks in cardboard packaging for 88 cents. I bought 14 of them for an older friend of mine who has a hard time getting out in the ice. I didn't recognize any of the titles, I just picked movies with actors I am familiar with. The $6.88 bin had Grumpy Old men (widescreen) and Dennis The Menace (with Walter Matheau) widescreen. My kids loved that movie when they were younger. It's kind of cute. One little 88 cent gem I found for me was a 4 episode disc of the Beverly Hillbillies which contained the pilot for the series. 'Hill'arious.

I just picked up the Charge of the Light Brigade at Blockbuster for $11 and it is in 2.35:1. That is a classic film and worth keeping.

I just found Trading Places in the 6.88 bin, enhanced for 16x9 televisions and DD5.1 one the best that I have ever seen in there.
