That could be good. Sportsnet started showing ALMS races this year, which seemed gone forever as it moved to streaming-only on ESPN 3 in the states. Maybe no more showing races late Sunday night and randomly cutting out 20-30 laps so they can fit it into a small time slot to make way for the 10th repeat of Sportscentre for the night?

Quote:
TSN declined to comment, but sources say the network is content with its NASCAR package, and considers only the Indy 500 is a loss to TSN.
Thanks for confirming what we all knew already.

Can anyone confirm the TSN2 coverage of the Edmonton race, I PVR'd it and watched it around 5pm on Sunday. Around lap 25 I noticed signal issues (Shaw Direct) which was to be expected due to local thunderstorms. But the recording quickly escalated to 29 laps to go and then 15 laps to go. I seemed to have missed the pass from the pits by Castroneves except on replays. What happened to the missing laps?

Don't know, but I saw everything here on Rogers. Sounds like your PVR "dropped" those bits during the storm, but recorded the rest. It was "live" coverage wasn't it?

Set the PVR for 11PM per the TSN2 and Rogers IPG, but nothing. No "ticker" indicating another time, or anything, just Tennis. I'm trying not to go to the IndyCar websites so that I don't see the results, but I may need to do something.

There was a rain delay at the US Open so the tennis is going to be much later finishing than expected. They are early in the 2nd set (best of 5) so it's unlikely to be over by 1AM ET. They should put the Indycar race on TSN because they're only showing Sportscentre followed by Motoring 2012 at 12.30AM ET but I don't think TSN cares enough these days about Indycar to bother doing that. Instead they might put it on TSN2 after the tennis in the middle of the night. I've had the tennis on all night and I haven't heard an announcement of any kind about Indycar.

Thanks. I've already extended my recording until 6AM hoping to record it after tennis as you say. Very sad that there was absolutely no mention of IndyCar at 11PM (or 12AM). I quickly checked TSN, but didn't want to hear the IndyCar results as they are wont to do... I also haven't watched Speed Center yet.

I was able to watch it live and it was a heck of a race! I won't give any spoilers.

I just finished watching it. It was on around 2:30-5AM. I wouldn't call a race that had that many yellows and most of it run under full-course caution a heck of a race, more like a roll of the dice.

It was weird because TSN2 started showing lap 7, then went back to the start of the race to show it properly. You would have thought they'd have plenty of time to do proper edits.

I thought Hunter-Reays's effort was outstanding. He had to win and he did. I prefer multiple cautions over watching the cars spread out over a long green flag run with zero passing.
