Agreed, please ask your VP buddy They don't have to put these channels into a basic package, they can server them up on their own. All we want is something to choose from, I don't think that's asking too much. People that don't want the channels don't have to pay for them.

Tridus is correct. You need to have certain subscriber numbers before the content providers want to deal with you. Although FibreOP is growing very fast, their numbers are still a rounding error compared to the big cable cos.

Oh yeah AMC in SD and HD will be available tomorrow March 22 in the Movies 2, The Premium movies and Super channels. They had to meet certain percent of their subscriber base before AMC would allow their channel which ties into the previous convo.

Guess they forgot to pull the switch, it's not on my system.

After a reboot of my receiver, AMC is now on there, it must have had to pick up the new channel map.

NotoriousDRG,

I get why they had to negotiate with AMC, but why don't they have the CBC news channel in HD yet? Is the CBC that hard to get along with?

I know this year their goal is to ramp up the HD channels. Looking at adding 24 - 30. I will see if I can get more info. The guys I know there sign confidentiality agreements so they can only really give me stuff just before it goes public....because they know I will leak it lol. Although sometimes they slip up and I find out stuff I shouldn't.

As of about 4:00 AM this morning, ABC Spark is listed in the guide on channel 261.

It appears to be airing DUSK's last few hours right now, the 5th or 6th showing of "Ghost", before it either fades to black or maybe goes into some pre-launch programming.
