I can tune to it and have it in the guide. It could be in the Lifestyle theme pack (the one with Food Network).

@tridus

the lifestyle theme pack is on free preview right now until june 30th so everyone should see it if it was in that theme pack.

Aliant tweeted today about the new channel, https://twitter.com/Bell_Aliant/status/218358619278815232

didn't mention anything about it being part of a theme pack

Yeah, Galaxie has its own app now.

I'm guessing that Cosmo wasn't part of the free preview on Lifestyle because it came in late, but I've got Lifestyle and have access to it.

Default NFL Sunday Ticket

Just wondering if there is any news on the NFL Sunday Ticket being offered this fall ?
I was told by a CSR back in May it was going to be offered but have heard nothing since.

Its hard enough not having the MLB Extra Innings and no Red Sox games but without the NFL Sunday Ticket I think Eastlink could be in my future.

Too bad because I'm really starting to like Fiberop TV,the PVR and all its features and the picture is beautiful !
If the programming was up to par with Bell Sat & Eastlink I think it would be a superior service.
As I said many times....more premium sports & HD channels are needed soon !

I received a sales call from Aliant a couple of weeks ago and he was trying to get me to sign up for fibreop. I told him that I would love to, but you don't have Sunday Ticket. He checked, and he had no info on it. Now I wouldn't take this as the gospel, because the man was just hired to sell, but I think it proves that one should never buy promises. I will believe that Sunday Ticket is available when I see it, not before, no matter who says what. CSRs can be misinformed or outright lie, and even if we are told what they think is true, there can always be contract disputes, etc.

Sunday Ticket doesn't go on sale until late August, so I wouldn't expect Aliant to make an official announcement before then. If they are going to carry it this year, expect a press release to say "We're now carrying Sunday Ticket, this is how much it will cost and here's how you subscribe to it". They can't do that yet.

Outbound call centre employees are probably the least informed of all. They usually receive just enough training to answer basic questions about the packages they are selling. Often they work for a call centre company and don't get the benefit of water cooler gossip that Aliant employees have.

100% Agree.

Even channels which I don't care much about, like Food Network, drive me nuts because I know they are available elsewhere. If I am going to be forced to watch cooking shows, it might as well be in HD!

Bring on Sunday Ticket, or it's "So long, FibreOp" for me!!!

Just received this response from BA on their Facebook page.

Bell Aliant Hello, NFL is still on schedule for this upcoming season, September. Other sports are being evaluated for 2013. We're glad you are enjoying FibreOP TV.

Sounds encouraging !

Default Food Network HD

Just checking the guide and noticed that Food TV HD was on channel 419.

Haven't noticed any others yet.

Default NFL Network

I'm watching the NFL Network tonight and getting ready for the Hall of fame game. My God the picture quality is bad !
Please Bell Alaint...... get us the NFL Network in HD ! Don't make us suffer through the season with SD ! Dave

Also hoping we hear something soon on The NFL Sunday Ticket.
