I was just reading Eastlink's twitter page, and there were questions about an "incorrect logo" on Eastlink's website.(yes, the same "TourofDuty" you were referring to, denben73) I assume the questions were regarding the Discovery HD logo. Apparently, it was an error, and the logo will be removed on Monday, and it was put on prematurely. However, it did say that the channel addition is "pending", I wonder how long that means?

Another new HD channel showed up late yesterday, PBS Detroit HD, on channel 619.

My reception of this channel is terrible;video dropouts and audio dropouts; any other viewers having signal quality issues with this channel?

Although I have only tuned into this channel a few times since it launched yesterday, COMMISH, I haven't havn't had any of the issues you mentioned, and I also live in Halifax.

All the recently added HD channels in Charlottetown, PE just show a black screen with sound and no video. Called support and they sent the signal to do a full reset on the box. Any ideas what is causing this? 609, 649, 666 and 616 is a few of the channel numbers that are doing this.

The simple question to ask is, is your receiver black or silver?

If it is silver (DCT6200, 6208, 6412 or 6416) to need to get the box changed for a newer model (DCX700 or 3400) to receive these signals since they would be sent using MPEG4 and the silver boxes are not able to display them. I find it a bit odd that tech support wouldn't know what box you have.

It is black, you should be OK. You may have another issue.

Sorry for not being more helpful but that is all I can think of quickly. Maybe someone else can add something.

Yes it is the silver model both boxes. Probably have to upgrade to he multi-room DVR I guess. I would say eventually they will swap all HD channels to the MPEG4. Can they transfer what is stored on the old silver HD boxes to the replacement ones?

Nope, no transfer of shows. You don't have to upgrade to Multi-Room to get the black boxes. If you rent, just bring them to a storefornt or kiosk and they will swap them out. If not, give them a call to set up an appointment.

Time for a TV marathon before getting the new boxes.

I thinik Commish is talking about Silver Screen Classics.

I have some dropouts (not severe but annoying enough) on the new HDs (CHCH, KCTS, W Movies & Food Network) Don't know about PBS Detroit. I haven't seen it in my guide as of 11 last night. My SNR is in the mids 30s on those channels. Did a QUAM scan and they appear (audio-wise

) to be on channel 131. That is pretty high on the spectrum. like 837 Mhz. or something.

In the west we have channel 2804 3DTV but no listings available. Shows will be available soon.

Hey I believed ya.

We had a channel in the 1000s once for one night. I think it was channel 1134 or something like that. No listings or channel label. About 10 days later, we got HD on our system for the first time.

I'm speculating that it is an error. Seems like a very weird number to launch something new on. I could see 1001 or 1200 or something like that.
