Default What toys did Santa bring you this year?

The only toy of note on my end was a Blueant S4 Hands-free Voice Controlled Car Speakerphone. I was tempted to pick up an android tablet but resisted.

Those Boxing Week Flyers are calling out to me.

It's a Christmas present to myself, but I'm getting a 16Gb Playbook tonight. A friend of mine works at RIM and I was able to get it for $166 (all in).

santa eljay just bought me a Polk AM1055-A (a.k.a. PSW10) subwoofer. He knew that I've been waiting for a deal on an inexpensive sub to pair with my ChaseHT WAF-3s in a modest two-channel set-up, and when he saw today's F.S. flyer, he sprang into action!

For the apple hater in me, my wife got me an iPod Touch ... actually, it integrates into my car audio much better than anything else, so it was a welcome gift.

A $200 Kindle Fire under my tree...
Very impressed by the battery life and once I found instructions of Facebook on how to get Apps for it from north of the 49th - it is even better.

Long ago we decided not to get caught up in the Christmas hype. We have no kids and purchase what we need during the year. If there's something we want/need around the end of the year, we wait for the boxing day sales. There is a "no parking" sign on our roof to preclude reindeer damage.

We did some online shopping and in-person shopping of the boxing day sales and got a wine aerator, an immersion blender (great for soups which we make often) and some chocolate. All items were 1/2 price or less. We are happy and enjoy the Solstice.

57, did you get the Vinturi aerator? If so, let me know what you think of it. I got one for my gf and we look forward to a taste test.

Nothing too techy on my list this year, surprisingly. Ordered a Jabra Bluetooth car visor speaker on "Boxing Day" (I love how December 24th is now Boxing Day according to the Internets).

90% of the time, I'm my own Santa. This year, I bought myself a new-to-me Denon AVR-790 on Boxing Day

coooper83, I got the Trudeau Aroma one that attaches to the bottle and acts like a spout. I haven't had the chance to try it yet, but I have tried others (various makes/models - mostly requiring a second hand to hold) at friends and they seem to work for younger red wines. The Vinturi requires two hands (or a tower) and was expensive, so I gave it a pass. The base will not be used and will be stored with the box elsewhere, while the aerator will be kept with my wine opener until both are needed.
