Regardless, they are freeing up space for something. Considering the Rogers/Bell partnership for MLSE, I think they will reach agreements for carriage of Bells HD channels and for Bell to offer FX Canada. Just a guess though.

Now would be a good time for Rogers to launch Bravo HD now that the new Dallas show is starting next Thursday. I would hate to watch it in SD.

As far as I can tell here in Ottawa TLN HD is only available on 793(SD)/793(HD( if you have a HD Box. On a further note TLN has never been available in analogue like it was/has been in the GTA.

As for the other possible channels, I'm not sure as to whats coming or not, but given that there is "limited" channel aliment left in the 500's, even if you eliminate AQU,Sunset,Fire/Cottage & the additional SN1 along with 2 free spots already that only gives you 6 spots and given that there at least 4 or so BTV channels not on Rogers along with the Hollywood 4 and others on EastLink there isn't enough room to fit them all in the 500 range.

So either Rogers will do some re-arranging of the Channel line up(what ever that might be) be HD in 1000's or same channel SD/HD I don't know. And though I basically don't have HD and shortly not have Rogers at all I'm guessing Rogers might do a remap. As to when this might happen I'm not sure but given they usually give at a month or 2 notice I'm figuring(if they do a re-map of the IPG) Sept.

Thy didn't do it for The Borgias on Bravo hd, why would you think they would do it for Dallas? Rogers is too selfish than to think of their own customers.

So sad, so true.

Is Bravo available anywhere in HD? I hadn't watched anything on that channel for years, and I was just programming the PVR for Dallas the other day, and was quite surprised that I couldn't find an HD version of the channel on Rogers.

Oh, Bravo is another of those CTV channels is it ... Rogers inability to carry channels like this and Space in HD is getting beyond annoying.

I wish Bell and Rogers would get their act together and provide their HD programming to each other. Bell has the same issue not offering FX . I'm thinking because they are partners with MLSE that stuff will get worked out soon.

I honestly don't think that the acquisition of MLSE is going to ease the tensions between Rogers and Bell for offering programming. All it guarantees is the MLSE group of stations will remain on both BDUs. Wait until they start arguing over who gets the rights to what game, especially if one or Bell or Rogers also winds up with the national NHL package.

OK

Some doesn't seem right here?

Come June 21 AQU,Fire/Cottage,Sunset will no longer be available.
Why?
After all this time they suddenly are dropping them.

To me this sounds like more HD is going to be added. As to what those HD channels will be after June 21 I'm not sure, that I can't say.

But there are two that come to mind Space & Discovery that have been confirmed by Rogers (via others e-mails) in this form.

They WILL still be available. Just in the 204-206 range and no longer in the 574-576 range. Rogers IS NOT dropping these stations.

If you are an SD customer, you will see no change. If you are an HD customer, you no longer will have access to the SD feed.

They've already been mapped in HD into the 204-206 range.

I'm more curious as to what they are placing in those positions, and it's likely something soon just by the fact they are clearing some space.
