We are not even at the date he mentioned yet and your trying to disprove him. If the time comes and he is wrong then you can question his credibility. I for one am just going to wait to see when the 1000's launch if he is correct. Thanks for the info SMCKINNON24 I for one prefer to read what you hear until your proven inconsistent. Thanks.
What do you have to say now that we've waited?

The launch of the 1000 series channels are delayed until more channels are launching. But it is coming as per Business Office. Its not me that is inaccurate. Its the personnel at Rogers that passed me the information to inform, many other users did confirm with various Rogers Customer Service Reps and Agents that they are coming, If you have issue of the inaccuracy contact Rogers for their inconsistablity on launching channels.

I cant be fully liable or to passed saying to being inaccurate. This information is released by Rogers Cable Customer Service Agents that are Stage 2 or Higher that can give this info.

What I don't like about your posts is that you can never say your wrong. Why are you still telling us that they are coming as per business office? How did you even get this info? I'm sure it is coming too, they have no choice if they still want to add hd channels but please stop speculating on dates because you get everyones hopes up, then when the date rolls around they get shot down because you were wrong.

Yes it is. You are the one who posts as though you're posting facts, when they are not facts. You've posted exact channels and exact dates, which have proven to be incorrect time and time again. This hasn't changed since your earliest posts on this forum in 2003. I'd guess your batting average is about 0.050. See my post at the top of page 9 of this thread which only addresses the inaccurate information from 2012.

In the past we have commented on this many times. You call or write Rogers asking about new channels and bug them until they throw you a bone and then you post it here as though it's a fact. Rogers were simply trying to get you off their backs.

For anyone interested, this started in 2003 when SM24 provided us with post after post of inaccurate information. Here's but a single sample thread:

I work for a large corporation and in my experience for the times that I have monitored calls with the telephone agents, you wouldn't believe the misinformation that spews out of their mouths. I know for a fact what I heard them tell customers was not in the training and tools they have been provided, because in this case, I wrote them

No, I don't work for Rogers and I will not state who I do work for, but my lesson learned is that if you are talking to CSRs and it's not directly related to transactional inquiries and about product features to come DO NOT BELIEVE THEM

Just my 2 cents. I know how call centers work, I know how they are never given details about when things are coming unless there has been a press release and they need to support it. Basically, if it is not in a press release or the product hasn't launched yet....THEY KNOW NOTHING AND ARE GUESSING. Call Center staff are only told in time to be able to support it, not a moment sooner.

Remember that when you are getting an inside scoop from them, they have no idea.

No. I dont come up with the date. the dates are given to me by Rogers Rep in TEch support and customer service. and yes that's your opinion and others disagree and say I have been correct with the information that was given to me.

Plus, when I did give a person name to confirm the validity of the it becomes removed or edited.

As I've said before, tech support and customer service don't know any better than you do until right before a channel goes live. What they're giving you is just their own conjecture.

You repeat what you hear as though it's gospel without adding qualifiers, and then shift the blame when it turns out to be wrong. Either accept responsibility for your inaccuracies, or stop speaking in absolutes as though you have some insider information.

I will only saty this. The only two channels that I'm aware of that have been confirmed by Rogers is Space HD & Discovery Channel HD in other memebers e-mails thjey received from Rogers.

As for al the other channels I'm not sure"if" or "when" they'll show up.

My assumption is once they convert the analogue to digital you might see them

Anyone know if T+E HD is going to be included in the VIP package, any channel pack, or will it be a separate subscription?

Travel and Escape is not part of VIP. It can be ordered individual for $2.79.

Default Bravo-HD on Rogers?

I'd love to watch The Borgias in HD. When is Rogers adding Bravo-HD? The existing SD channel is very poor quality.

Looks like Rogers will be replacing the reality channel with Nat Geo Wild. Not sure if it will be available in HD though.

Where did you get this information from? Also, do you mean Global's Reality Channel? I hope Nat Geo Wild is offered in HD...

Thumbs up Nat Geo Wild replacing Global's Reality Channel (67)

Hello, yes indeed Nat Geo Wild is coming to Rogers on August 1st 2012! It will be replacing Global's Reality Channel, which will be seizing broadcasting on the same day as launch. My guess is to the lack of viewers of the channel. I got my information from a REP for Rogers, and he said that they received a memo saying it will be added, so it is legit. He did not see anything about it being available in HD though which is really stupid, but he mentioned that starting yesterday Rogers is removing there analogue signals to free up ALOT of space for HD and other digital channels that are being taken up by analogue.. which he speculates by the time of launch may have an HD channel decided. Hope this is a hint that Rogers and Shaw are in good ties.. Bell just needs a smack in the head now
