I just received an e-mail via my ipad2 stating that as a Bell TV customer I am entitled to a FREE vewing of Kung Fu Panda 2 in HD.
"To mark the holidays, Bell TV clients get a special treat. Watch Kung Fu Panda 2 On Demand or on Pay-per-view from December 27 to January 15, compliments of Bell. " Nice touch BEV, I am glad to see them showing us some appreciation. Paul

Essentially a PPV version of a free preview. They should have done this when Blockbuster closed up but I guess better late than never. Trial often stimulates demand.

Did this work for anyone?
I went to the trouble of hooking an ethernet cable up to my 9241 to try this out but the 1080p On Demand "rental" is just 1.5 hours of black, even several hours after "ordering". |

No problems getting this freebie from Bell TV at all.
My 9242's are NOT connected to Phone Line nor Ethernet, just used the "On Demand" and purchased it for $0. |

I had no problems ordering this and my kids loved it.

Pinza, interesting... It gave me an error message when I tried it before hooking up the ethernet cord. I'm not sure if they'll let me try again since my 48 hour "rental" is now long over.

It is just "There" for a period of 48 hours. Then it disappears.

I'm glad I stumbled across this thread, because they never sent me an e-mail even though I have been a customer for years!
Available on channels 316 (HD) and 355 (SD). I've set it to record tonight (Jan 15, last date for this offer) at 03:00. Bell has no problem sending me e-mails when my e-bill is ready, or when my internet usage is almost "full". When I logged onto "My Bell" to check my profile it said they had no record of my e-mail address enven though it came up automatically on the form. It figures. The left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing. |
