Unhappy Kevin Nelson Majic 100 DJ Morning Host(Ottawa) passed away

For those who rmebered Kevin Nelson as the Morning man(5:30-am-9:00am)on Majic 100 passed away yesterday morning after a long fight with Liver Diease. He was 52. Kevin was with the station from the day in went on air Aug 12 1991 and was the first to introduce the stations first song Do Believe In Majic. According to station vice-president and gerneral manger and Bell media affiliates in Ottawa Richard Grey, Kevin Nelson was on sick leave for the past 15 months when he pased away Yesterday morning. "stuntman Stu Schwartz remember Kevin being a funny guy who always had "one liners" if you passed him in the hallways of the radio station. Kevin Nelson will solly be missed by his Fans which made him and his co-host the NO 1 FM radio morning show for good 6+ years straight. More can be found at the CRFA web site.

Read on MMU that Kevin was the son of legendary 1050 CHUM host Jungle Jay Nelson. RIP.

I remember him either late seventies or early eighties on CKSL London in the early part of his career.
