Then I came here to find out all the details.

I just got my bill and my CI discount is not there.

Went to Shaw Chat and the CSR said it will be applied to the next bill.

Hopefully that is true because as of this bill, I paid CI in full.

Default Concierge services update

Concierge Chat wait times have increased but not yet to the point of a regular chat.

It seems that Concierge appointments won't be booked until the new year.

Yeah, I had to wait about 10 minutes the other day. And the first agent ended the chat because "he wasn't trained on phones". Luckily the next agent answered immediately.c

I got on right away the other day. Ordered a Gateway, BB50 and made programming changes all in about twenty minutes. I was impressed. Plus I'm saving about ten bucks a month even with the Easy Own payment for the Gateway.

I ordered two VOD movies since registering, but I don't know if I'll be charged or not. One was an adult movie just for kicks. I'll sure be pissed if I get billed $11.99 for that crap!

When I spoke to a CSR about the VOD credit I was told that the credits do not apply to PPV, Special Events, Fights or Adult content.
Movies SD or HD regardless of price up to 11.99 were covered.
If a movie is 3.99 you used up all of the 11.99

^Im on my BlackBerry right now, so I'm going to wait till I get home tonight to re-read this thread; I swear at least one person in this thread called Shaw and they confirmed that even adult movies up to $11.99 count (?). That's the only reason I got it. It was through VOD, not one of the PPV channels. Oh well, if I'm charged, I'm charged. What a waste of money if I do though.

When I chatted with the CSR. Adult VOD was included. Again, mixed messages from Shaw regarding Shaw Friends.

Shaw Champ, can you, or one of your colleagues, clarify the warranty for us. The terms and conditions at Join Shaw Friends and enjoy the rewards state

You are entitled to a lifetime warranty on hardware as a Shaw Friend. This applies to all hardware purchased through Shaw at any time, previous to or following your enrolment in the Shaw Friends program. Easy Own customers are included in this lifetime warranty as well.
What about equipment we have purchased from Shaw authorized retailers or purchased used from previous Shaw customers. It would seem these items are excluded.
Typically equipment purchased at a 3rd party vendor would carry a 3 year warranty. However, if someone had a piece of equipment that failed and was brought from a 3rd party vendor which in my experience is a handful of experiences seen then I am sure that Shaw would still look after you in this area but considerations are on a case by case basis post 3 years in this case. As far as I know all other providers that are direct competitors to us offer a 1 or 3 year warranty whether purchased directly or through a 3rd party. I've never known us not to support someone here.

I would also mention that we are also trying to make equipment changes for our customers better across all selections of offerings, like if there is something new out or if someone wants to upgrade. If ever you have a concerns guys feel free to drop me a PM and I'd be happy to help out. Sorry it took a few days to reply.

On the subject of Shaw Friends, can I ask what kind of other things that could be added would resonate to you folks?

Reading through the thread I am seeing things like:
*Tenure based offers
*Small cash gesture discounts
*Price Guarantees for a period of time, maybe based on tenure too or amount of service that you have?
*Warranty upgrades to include obsolescence, don't want to waste investment in say SD equipment that wouldn't be used if you went HD.
*Other Phone feature options, eg Call Waiting / Voice Mail / Call Forward?
*Access to more HD VOD content eg. Shaw Media assets or even Shaw Movie Club experience for people that don't subscribe to Movie Central?

Would it be fair to reward more based on the amount of services you have with Shaw?

December's launch was more of a Soft Launch for us, we are looking to flesh it out in the new year and appreciate the feedback so far.

@Shawchamp

Any of those would be a step in the right direction.

After ten plus years with Shaw and about a dozen (or more... don't tell my wife...) STB's an obsolescence warranty would be great. I'm already getting nervous about the "next" Gateway models having some new features that I want and I've only had it for 4 months.

6 free HD movies on PPV or VOD per year (recent content not the old catalog stuff...) would be nice. I can remember getting those coupons for VOD's years ago, I never used them then as the content was already dated and I had seen everything I wanted to see in the theater or owned the DVD/BR.

Rewards should be based on tenure and service level (triple play , level of content you subscribe to, etc..). If people know that there is a structure in place and with time they will be recognized more and more then they will stick around longer and not feel forgotten and annoyed by those $99 new subscriptions and $100 per service Visa(?) card things you're advertising on TV lately...

Hey, I think I can get 4 free Blizzards from Dairyqueen a year just for joining the Blizzard Club, show us $200+ a month customers some love

Thanks.
