Default Rogers Client - Audio Sync problems

Hi all,

I did a search on audio sync problems but the last post I could find was a year old so I’ll start new:

Background:
Location – Fredericton New Brunswick,

I have been a Rogers customer forever; my home is (or was) equipped with a CRT tv in the living room, LCD TV in master bedroom and daughters room with basic cable plus a few extra channels... all is good,,,

The decision is made to finally invest in a tv for the living room; based on approval ratings I buy a LG 55LW5700. Love the TV BUT:
all of a sudden there’s an Audio sync problem. Oddly enough there’s the same problem with the other TV’s in the house.

Next day Rogers arrives to install a PVR box and an HD box (free trial for 6 months). Audio sync problem still exists.

Rogers acknowledges problem suggesting that there were too many devises on one line and install a second line. It should be noted that they tested the internet and also acknowledged “noise” issues.

One week later Rogers makes another visit and basically say I’m out to lunch and it’s the TV networks. Ironically enough the tech calls back 30 minutes after his visit and says a fellow tech has been receiving similar complaints. It's a week later and I haven't heard back form them.

Solution: go to Bell --- or????

Here's the post on synch issues and how to remedy/check.

If it's on every channel, it's not the channels since everyone else here is fine. So, go through the checklist and find out what the likely cause is. If a reboot of the STBs doesn't resolve it and if it's on every channel and if you've tried a couple of different resolutions 720P, 1080i then call Rogers (again) to fix the issue.

Thanks 57,

I'll go through the list but as mentioned it's occurring on all TV’s and one of the TV’s is plugged into the cable connection directly. It is not every channel but more than 1 channel at a time. It can come or go while watching one show at a time. It's almost as if the signal is delayed by traffic of some sort.

At the end of the day all I can think of is: I pay way too much for the services I have; I just bought the latest technology in TV’s, boxes and sound and this is what I get???

This is similar to the Gateway computer I bought a year ago with all the bells and whistles and it won't shut down properly or recognize a device you plug in after its running.... AND the service agreement I bought doesn’t cover it as it's not "hardware".
