Hi,
I have noticed a series of slight wavy lines, ripple effect, (similar to contour lines) on the left and right sides of my picture when switching to the 16:9 squeeze mode for dvd viewing. These effects are most visible on light sky blue backgrounds. When I switch back to regular 4:3 viewing, they almost completely disappear. I'm not sure that this has been caused by placing non-shielded speakers close to the tv? I have removed the speakers and turned the tv on and off a few times to degauss with no noticeable effect, and the fact that this does not seem to be a problem in 4:3 mode leads me to believe that this is not a magnetic field problem. Additional info: this problem appears in both component and other video inputs in 16:9 mode, so it is not cable or input related. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance. |
