INSTEON related newbie question - Canadian TV, Computing and Home Theatre Forums

Hello,

I am looking to connect a wireless motion detector to a wall switch. I've checked INSTEON products and found Item# 2477D(Remote Control Dimmer (Dual-Band)) and Item# 2420M(Wireless INSTEON Motion). Can I connect these two to each other or do I need some sort of an access point?

In addition, I am considering to connect the motion sensor to my PC to get alerts, Will Item# 2413U (PowerLinc Modem) will do the trick?
