Default Motorola RAZR now in Canada

Does anyone know when he new Android based Motorola RAZR will be available from Rogers? Various websites report November 4th. I went to two different Rogers stores today (not dealers) and neither had the phone. Reps in both stores were unsure when the phone would be available.

The Rogers website has an option to reserve this phone. Unfortunately I can't seem to place an online reservation because I don't have any Rogers wireless services. I do have cable, Internet and home phone - but I guess that doesn't count. I tried calling Rogers and was told that their systems are down for maintenance and they can't access my account or provide any info.

Remind me again why I'm a Rogers customer?

I suspect it's just taking some time to trickle into stores. Maybe some supply chain issues. I know they're having trouble with the Galaxy S II LTE.

I'd expect to see it in stores this week or next, or else an announcement as to why it's been delayed.

The GS2 LTE started to trickle into stores this weekend based on reports on other sites.
I would think the Razr will be in stores on Monday.

awhite2600, the reservation system is for existing wireless customers, for new wireless customers you can preorder from the Get Started link here.

Eluder, I tried the preorder link. It wants to setup a new account and charge everything to a credit card - including the monthly bill. I want to include the wireless phone with my other Rogers services.

Paolo, I think the 11/11/11 date is for the US version on Verizon. Was it a Rogers commercial that you saw? The Rogers website does not mention a release date but does seem to indicate that the phone is (or will soon be) available.

It's been available since November 4. However, it seems only high volume retail stores have stock.

It was a MOTOROLA Commercial, not a rogers nor an at&t. Motorola does their own marketing a lot too. Anyways its only 4 more days if the stores do not have it, just check after the 11'th

The Motorola Razr is now available from Rogers for $650 without a contract, less if you enter into a multi-year contract.

Getting good reviews south of the border

I was able to pick up a RAZR at a Rogers store here in London this afternoon. The rep told me that they came in yesterday and mine was the first one that they have sold.

I'm at work right now. I'll test out the phone tonight and post a mini review. Based on appearances alone the phone does seem nice. It's big but thin. The AMOLED display looks great.
