whoa! hold up there turbo.

It's not that simple. Eventhough there was an agreement on location and date for the last meet this is a hole new ballgame. (I'm OK with Royal Oak and I think Mon-Wed are evenings most accommodating for groups). So let the debate begin!

At this point it is clear that the law of diminishing returns applies... the longer this goes on, the less likely a solution will be found!

So, apart from shutting down this thread or deleting it completely due to the interminable uncertainty, I would ask that the most senior (number of posts, length of time as members) decree a meeting place/time upon which anyone hoping to attend will have to arrange their schedule around, with all due respect.

Enough is enough...

Fix a time and date and maybe I'll fly out there too... ya never know. I have many fond memories of Ottawa.

I propose we meet Monday, July 23. The exact location has yet to be confirmed (it will either be Summerhays or the Royal Oak). Please pencil this date in your calendar.

Some questions:

Should we have a formal agenda or just a casual discussion?
Anyone interested in presenting?
Should we have some sort of swap meet to allow people to trade parts?

While I don't need an RSVP, if you could indicate if you are likely to attend so that I know how many to expect.

The date is set.
Royal Oak gets my nod.( I prefer an establishment that can afford to purchase enough matching chairs.)
Let's leave the details at that and let the chips fall where they may concearning format etc (we be on thin ice here).

No, the date has been set (we just need to firm up the location). If no one offers any topics or wants to give a presentation, we will just have a casual discussion.

Roger I haven't had a chance to check out Summerhays yet. We know that the back room at the Royal Oak seemed to work fine last time, so why not go with that?

I have booked the back room of the Royal Oak, 329 March Road in Kanata for Monday, July 23, starting at 7:00 pm under "DHC OTA Members."

They want an estimate of how many will be coming, so if you plan on attending please either e-mail me (if you have my private e-mail address) or send me a PM (though my box may get full).

Does that start time sound good for everyone? If you can't make it on time, feel free to drop by when you can, even if you didn't RSVP.

I will want to have dinner ahead of time, so if others want we could meat early to eat and then head to the back room for the meeting.

Glad to here that Royal Oak was the chosen destination. While I live closer to Summerhays, Woodroffe southbound from the Queen's way is closed making it more difficult to get to Summerhays right now.
