Yes I have and so far the Gevalia Morning Roast is a favorite. And I was somewhat surprised to find that in this system Nabob 100% Colombian makes a tasty cup. Each variety you buy comes in a specific cup size which is indicated somewhere on the package. The bar code on the T-disc is read by the Tassimo which then varies the heat and water according to the recipe. You get the coffee exactly the way it was designed to be, but at the end you can add water or stop the process early if you so choose.
Oh, I've also had good success making an Americano out of a single espresso shot and adding hot water. |

Thanks Runnin'; the Nabob Café Crema fits nicely between the Expresso and Columbian blends; its bolder than the Columbian and has the same large volume, and excellent crema. Using the manual brew button, I also 'lenghten' the Expresso by 3 Oz to a total of 6, to obtain an allongé.
I compared the T-cup bar codes on the Latte, Cappuccino and Expresso Nabob selections, and found them to be identical, however the UHT milk T-cups have different codes in the Latte and Cappuccino kits. |

I've recently tried the Chai tea latte. I found the mixture a bit too sweet, but by running the same 'tea leaf' cup 2 more times and then combining in a 3:1 ratio (tea: UHT milk), it makes a solid drink for a cold winter day!
To run the same T-cup twice, you need to open the T-cup compartment, and then close it again praying that the two original perforation holes are properly lined up. The Tassimo reads the bar code again, and restarts the brewing cycle. Powering down and up again without opening the compartment does not reset the bar code reader; the machine remains in its standby state, as if there were no T-cup in it. Using this approach, I was able to use the same cup over 4 brewing cycles, and still obtain a strong tea. As the perforation holes widen slightly, there is some steam loss with increasing cycles. I have never seen water deposition near the bar code reader assembly, but if the seals surrounding the reader are not 100% waterproof, leakage could occur and the machine might be damaged; the only caveat. |

I'm looking forward to the Cadbury Hot Chocolate. I've seen it on various web sites, but neither those sites nor the local retailers around me seem to have any of those T-Discs in stock. Apparently December 15th is the magic day.

I bought a Tassimo about 3 weeks ago. I'm on my 3rd pack of Cadbury's hot chocolate. There a few stores near me that carry it. Well worth it as its a great cup of hot chocolate.

Bed, Bath, & Beyond is the only local retailer that is carrying the Cadbury Hot Chocolate T-Discs. Home Outfitters usually has a good variety of T-Discs, but they didn't have the Cadbury last time we were there. |

Redzone has a point; it would be cheaper! The latest issue of Québec's consumer magazine 'Protégez-Vous' evaluates all the single-serving brewing systems, and the headline of the main article reads: '70$ per month for coffee'. Not far from the truth...

but the difference is you cant make 1 cup of coffee with a normal brewer (not in an easy to do manner anyways) with minimal cleanup.
hot chocolate on the other hand is a powder with no clean up. all you need is a spoon. but your right. if you only have 1 or 2 cups every once in a while it can be worth the convenience. |

never big on the single server idea due cost, but wife picked up a Keurig. Well I'm sold on it now, yes cost more than a regular coffee pot but the convenience does make up for it. Hot chocolate, making the kid use the stuff in the can, got to draw the line somewhere.

I use hot chocolate from a can, and tea bags for tea, but use the Kuerig for instant hot water. I would be willing to buy tea k-cups if I found something that I like better than my favourite bags, however for hot chocolate, it is a pain to have to run water through after brewing to avoid plugging up the machine.
