If this comes true, I would sign up for netflix for this alone, if its still $8 a month.
On the other hand, maybe there will be blu-ray releases in the future. Would the production quality be the same? Hard to say.

[As Netflix Talks End, Terra Nova Looks Officially Over]

The dinos of Terra Nova are now even more extinct. Despite an 11th hour attempt by Netflix to keep the show alive, a deal could not be reached and the show's producers are ready to throw in the towel.

According to one source, international broadcasters may not have been keen on the idea of Netflix serving as the sole U.S. "broadcaster" of Terra Nova. Netflix, still new to the original programming game, doesn't carry the same marketing heft or cache that a TV network does, and international outlets perhaps weren't sure they wanted to commit to another season without an actual broadcast or cable channel attached. While a studio source pointed to Futurama as an example of a show that was resurrected down the road, such a move is unlikely for Terra Nova.

I wanted to like Terra Nova; I really did... but let's face it, the show is just not very good. It was a cheesy family series that should have been more of a gritty/serious sci-fi (like Battlestar Galactica, walking Dead, or LOST). I watched the first 4-5 episodes of the show and then gave up. Not surprised or sad to see it go the way of the dinosaurs.

I liked it better than Alcatraz that's for sure. Too bad sci-fi shows never seem to catch on for long on FOX.

Fringe is still going. Actually, just thinking out loud, are there many sci-fi shows on networks other than Fox?

yeah, I tried to watch Alcatraz, it didn't work out, I'd rather watch Terra Nova,

disappointed it won't be back, even though the acting wasn't great, the effects weren't the best, but it had a lot of good possible story lines I would have liked to see play out

I am disappointed. Our family (daughter 13 and son 10) watched and enjoyed it together.

Really not much entertaining scripted family drama these days (SCI-FI or otherwise) that isn't filled with loads of sexual innuendo, etc.

^^^^^ You hit that one right on the head. It was a clean show for the whole family.

I agree- my kids are around the same age and finding family shows we all enjoy can be tough. Grimm and Once Upon a Time are the replacements at this point.

Back on topic - was there additional content/episodes already produced for the next season ?
