CBET just went to black. Then came back airing CBC Manitoba, then cut back to Dragons Den. All 4:3. Definitely some problems going on.

Rob...I noticed that too. And TVO 32 and SRC 35 went off the air too. 35 is back, but 32-1 is still out.

El Gran Chico,
Or anyone else. Did you hear any explanation why there's no ETT/EIT being broadcast
OTA by CBLT? None are in the stream lookin at it in TSReader so that's why there is no guide.
It seemed to coincide with the switch to 720p.

Wilspin,

Maybe they are making room for a sub channel also 720.
Pure speculation, but could we imagine a network like CBC getting ready to donate some bits toward
a future Mobile DTV network long before they'd consider multicasting a sub channel??
There's only ~ 3 Mbps of Nulls right now though.
WKBW ABC in Buffalo, also 720P has ~ 8 Mbps of nulls presently unused.

I haven't seen any applications to the CRTC which would suggest that the CBC is considering a sub-channel or mobile ATSC service.

The CBC has previously said they intend to launch Mobile DTV. I don't remember exactly where it was, but I definitely remember reading it.

Before the transition I remember reading on this forum that the CBC was switching to a centralized server for program info that would feed all of its OTA transmitters. Perhaps this is what they are working on currently, which would have caused some of you who had program guides to now lose this info.

I tried submitting a complaint to CBC again......message: incomplete form, that on returning to it was blank...I give up. Maybe I should not have checked complaint.

According to the post above, maybe the HD will be back when I get home this evening...here's hoping!

Still no programming data on CBLT. I hope they resolve this issue soon.

No, CBLT Toronto is 16:9 720p. Fortunately they haven't dropped down to 4:3 whatsoever (from what I've seen of the station over the past few days).

Flipping through channels today, I discovered I got CBLFT on channel 53896-3. No, that is not a typo.

Default CBLFT

That's odd. I don't see any changes to the channel mapping on my tuners (still showing 25.1). Maybe if I were to do a scan it would change.

It's apparent that CBC is in the process of making changes to their master control. During these changes, anything is possible.
