From what I've read, these are the rechargeable batteries to get. But I've never seen these in stores anywhere. Does anyone know of a store to buy these in Winnipeg?

They are also rebranded as Duracell rechargeables, but only the ones that are made in Japan and have a white ring on top. They often go on sale at Shoppers Drug Mart every month for ~$8 for a 4-pack. I'll try to search for links with pics & descriptions and edit my post later.
Eneloops are always on sale on Dell . ca, and Costco also carries them in-store.

You can order from Canada Computers online.
Ya - there's shipping to contend with - but you may see other "needed" items as well. - Bill H.

I was trying to avoid online because these always seemed to fall just under the free shipping limits so there was always an extra fee. |

I bought the Duracell PreCharged from Walmart. Each charge lasts for a long time. Also, it does not loose much of the charge when it is not used right after the charge.

They are available from several online computer retailers and often go on sale. NCIX has the charger with 6 batteries on sale until Wed. Shop around for batteries as the price for 4-packs varies from $10-$20 depending on vendor and sales.
I've been using Eneloop batteries in remotes, keyboards and mice for several years and have no complaints. For high draw devices there may be better options.

Grab the duraloops from shoppers when they go on sale. (just make sure they're the white top and say 'pre-charged', then they're the right kind)
Usually for $8 for 4. If you're lucky, there'll be a brandsaver coupon out at the same time, making them an even better deal Otherwise, wait for a dell sale. They have free shipping, no minimum purchase. |

Shoppers is probably the best overall deal to get them easily.
I have a ton of them to feed my many battery operated devices and flashlights. |

I have heard but can't confirm, that the Superstore President's Choice Nimhs (white, I forget the Mah rating) are re-branded eneloops.
I have several sets and they perform well.
