its not that windy today. So this must have happened yesterday. And yesterday it was windy. Probably even moreso on top of the Richardson building. Today is beautiful though. Perfect weather for December. If the delay is longer than a day, I'll be .. well, not surprised.. I haven't been surprised by this whole scenario. But dissapointed. Though I'm already extremely dissapointed in the CBC. -6 and 16km wind conditions right now. yesterday it was closer to 50km winds.

What bothers me the most is if it was windy yesterday, why not communicate the fact yesterday? Why wait til today? They are a BROADCASTING CORPORATION. They have the means to COMMUNICATE these things to us. They have websites and everything, and they've failed to adequately explain and communicate during this whole ordeal. But I digress. They have until Friday before I complain to my MP, who is a Conservative, and would probably love a reason to take the CBC to task on their bungling and maybe dig deeper. I haven't yet, because I generally like the CBC. But it's become very difficult to defend them.

Don't worry, be happy!
CBC just made the good joke about the digital channel 27 or may be did a mistake with date.
It's not 7 Dec 2011, probably 7 Dec 2012...
So far channel 27, 51 - signal level = 0

why am I not surprised with a delay? It was crazy windy yesterday. I almost needed some bricks in my coat pockets, to keep me from blowing away. lol

Thanks for sharing the pictures. Hopefully, it'll be operational tonight or the next day or.....

yeah it went back down again for some reason 10 minutes into wheel of fortune. but it was working, so I can't see them keeping the power off for too long. Maybe they discovered a problem they needed to fix or they're double checking the tower is fine or testing something. Or maybe they installed it wrong and it fell off the richardson building and impailed 5 people. Either way it'll probably be operational again soon.

according to the CBC thread they're sticking with 720p nationwide. Dunno why. Maybe they have plans for subchannels? An educational kids channel with old mr dressup and friendly giant and maybe nature of things reruns would be nice.

I still have no signal on cbc. I wonder too why they're not going to broadcast in full 1080. A subchannel that we can pick up ota, all across Canada would be nice. I guess I'll wait until tomorrow morning to see what cbc brings.
