Hi everyone,
I was wondering if there is a way to keep my existing Bell dish, which has the 'D' shaped arm and one LNB, and connect a bracket that allows me to have 2 LNB's attached (DPP style)? I've only been able to find dual LNB brackets that fit the rectangular arm, not the 'D' shaped arm. Is there such a thing available for this setup, or do I have to install two dishes to acquire both 91 and 82? Thanks |

I should add, I purchased a "Y" yoke adapter, but the arm only attaches to a rectangle style arm.. not the D shaped arm that my dish has.

You could use two dishes if you want but I don't think the dish you have will work for two satellites, unless you can adjust the skew. In normal circumstances your best bet would be to get a dual LNB dish.
Last I heard Bell will supply one and maybe do a free install, if you are upgrading your programming to HD. |

How come I can't use only one dish?
It seems the only issue is the D shaped arm.. if it was rectangular I'd have no problem.. I'm confused. Any explanations would be great. The LNB which I have already attached to the dish is a DPP, and I have another one that Bell sent me. Thanks for any info! |

You can use one dish, it's just that the dish you have probably doesn't have a skew setting, so you'll need a new dish.

As stated it sounds like you ave either an 18" or 24" Dish that is focused for just 1 Satellite. The 20" (51cm) that is now the standard Dish is slightly oval and collects signals from BOTH orbital locations and reflects them back to the 2 x LNBF's.
The 2 Satellites are not at the same height, so the Dish needs to be rotated slightly (Skewed). Your Dish will not have that ability so you will not get the best signal strength on both birds. |

The D LNB will fit if you force the plastic Y open a bit. Use a heavy tie wrap to hold it closed. I think you can also put a screw in it. When I get home from the cottage I can post a picture of mine.
