Default Remote PVR - Down?

Has anyone experienced issues with the Bell Remote PVR that was available from
www.bell.ca/recordnow ?

It hasn't been working for 2 days for me. I get an error:

"Remote PVR is not available
The server is not responding.
Please try again in a few minutes."

I tried calling tech support. First the CSR told me that since it's online that they wouldn't be able to help me and there was no number she can provide me with to contact anyone....

After I told her that was unacceptable and arugued for 2 min......she went to talk to a manager and she told me since it isn't a fully launched feature, it's only in Beta, there is nothing they can do. That I'll have to wait and see if it comes back.

They sent me an email that the feature is launched. When I went to try it I get the following error message:

Remote PVR
Ooops!

Remote PVR is not available
Bell Satellite TV
The server is not responding.
Please try again in a few minutes.

Strange message being a fibe user. Is this working for anyone?

Thanks for the help. I called Bell yesterday and they said they would look into it as they were not aware of a widespread outage and they would look at my account. I never heard back from them.

In addition to remote PVR, my Facebook nor Galaxie Music Apps don't work either. I am wonder if this is because I am not using the Cellpipe modem as a router. All receivers are connected via coax. I have an ethernet running to my router from the cellpipe modem. My own router takes care of establishing PPPoE connection and providing wireless services. This makes the cell pipe more like a cable modem. I am wondering if this is causing issues. I was under the impression that the TV service was on it own internet connection and therefore everything would be ok, but maybe I am missing something. Anyone else running my type of config that has these things working?

I've heard the the Bell Fibe TV boxes do need to have both PPPoE logins to function fully and completely.

You're correct that the IPTV side goes through a different login and VLAN, howerver, I've heard reports that if the Cellpipe doesn't have a connection to the internet VLAN, some services do not function correctly. I don't know if it's because it does use this for minimal data usage. My guess is yes.

I also remember hearing someone say either on here or somewhere else that using the Facebook app counts toward your internet usage.

In the email they sent about Facebook they said it uses your Internet bandwidth. Are your receivers getting an Internet feed? If not, that's your problem.

I assume they are not getting an internet feed because they are not connected to the internet VLAN. I wonder if I run a an ethernet cable from my router to the receiver if it would work or would that mess it up. I will try to disable my router and turn on the cellpipe again and see if that works. I am not a networking expert. The cell pipe seems to assign addresses 192.168.2.x and my router does 10.0.1.x. Not sure if that messes it up as they are in different ranges. Wonder if it would help if I change the ip ranges in my router.

I may just disable my router and use the cellpipe and se eif that works to isolate the problem.

Turned PPoE back on the modem. Facebook and Galaxie started working. However remote PVR still is not working. I guess Bell will have to look into it.
