ViewSonic said today that its new Windows and Android tablet is now on-sale in North America in limited quantities and should be widely available later this month.
The ViewPad 10pro is billed as dual OS system but it really is a Windows OS device which can run Android 2.3 as a virtual machine on top of the Windows 7 Operating system. Powered by a 1.5GHz Intel Atom processor Z670, the new tablet features a 10.1" screen 1024x600 capacitive multi-touch panel, 2GB of memory, 16 or 32GB SSD, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, a 1.3 megapixel built-in front camera, microSD slot and an HDMI out port. Available in two configurations:
Both versions come with the Android 2.3 app.

Still way too expensive. You're essentially buying a netbook computer with a touchscreen and without a keyboard. The tablet manufacturers really need to bring down the prices well below the price point of the iPad or there's simply no point in putting any of these products on the market.
