I have read That thread saying if I want to run only 1 cable (like my house is set right now), I would need a DPP LNBf and the DPP seperator, which I was about to order right away !
But I figured why shouldn't I use 2 diplexer instead ? Right now, I have my Bell Dish with 2 dual LNBs, one for HD and 1 for non-HD ! if I run a cable from each lnb, plug it to a diplexer right behind the dish, plug it to my current cat6 cable that runs iton my house, and plug a second diplexer in the house right behind the 9241 receiver and then plug the 2 tunners ? That "should" work ? There is 101 pages in the thread posted above and the search engine does not directly point me to the right page when I try to search for the answer ! If its not in one of the examples, that should means it cannot be done but I wonder why ?? Thank you for your help! Martin L. |

Diplexers are used to 'stack' different frequencies into the same cable, i.e. signals from an LNBF and signals from an RF source, you cannot use them to combine signals from 2 x LNBF's, that is what an SW21 is for.
Also in your reading you should have found that you cannot split the signals after an SW21. You need to use the DPP Twin and Separator if you only want 1 line to the 9241. |

Well I'll plug the 9241 the right way so that I can record HD and watch other HD channel at the same time !
I was just wondering if it was possible with diplexer, but you answer my question perfectly, thank you very much ! I guess the best way will be to trash me 2 dual LNBs and get a DishPro Plus DPP Twin LNBF with a seperator ! Unless that gives me only the opertunity to view OR record, but not both at the same times ? Thank you for your help, Martin L. |

A single DPP drop with a separator is exactly the same as two SW21/SW44 drops. So you will be able to record/watch live, or record/record/watch recorded just fine.

This is too simple !!
I really needed to ask because it is NEVER as simple as that ... but it looks like it is now If I get a DishPro DP Quad LNBF Dish Network , it says all 4 are outputs ! That means I could buy 4 seperator and have 4 9241 receiver in the house ? |

Correct.
Using a DPP Twin LNBF, then running just 2 lines into your house, if you then add 3 x DPP44 switch's and 12 Separators, you can have 12 x HD Dual Tuner PVR's..... All from just 2 lines, nice and simple, eh.? I have yet to see a DPP Quad LNBF, just so you know, not saying they do not exist but as yet, Bell don't have them, even though they were promised last November to Techs. |

We were told that the DPP Quad LNBF would be out "in the fall", so hopefully we'll hear something about it soon.
