Default Rogers to stream Jays games to Rogers Devices

Hmmm... so many platforms that this one touches... who knows where to categorize this one....

http://www.montrealgazette.com/enter...680/story.html

Quote:
Rogers Communications Inc., the club's owner and biggest wireless provider in the country, announced Tuesday it will begin streaming the remainder of the team's broadcasts this season through its online and wireless ondemand services. The catch - games will only be streamed to Rogers Internet and mobile customers, while subscribers to rival carriers like Bell Mobility or Telus Corp. won't be granted access.
Once again "content is king".

Applicable bandwidth charges will apply. This is not cable TV.

Question

Has anyone calculated what it would cost to watch an entire Jays game on their Rogers mobile device?

Default No additional data charges for On Demand Mobile

The $5 monthly fee includes the data charges. From the ROGERS ON DEMAND MOBILE page:
Quote:
All data associated with Video and Radio on Demand is incorporated into the pay-per-use or flat monthly fee - no additional data charges apply when using these services on the Rogers Wireless network. Additional data roaming charges apply when using Video and Radio on Demand services outside of the Rogers Wireless network (i.e., while travelling outside of Canada). Rogers does not recommend using Video or Radio On Demand, while outside of the Rogers Wireless network due to high data roaming fees.

That would be for wireless, but not for computer/internet correct?

If you have the mobile app, you pay $5/month which includes the data charge.

If you use Rogers internet, the access is free, but the data is counted towards your monthly cap. Undue preference rules would prevent Rogers from treating their internet data differently from competitors like Netflix.

That $5/month wouldn't be unlimited video streaming would it? I have a feeling it'll like like Bell's Mobile TV service where the $5/month would give you something like 10 hours of viewing.

Tried this a few days ago. DL'd the app on my iphone, connected to wifi. It wouldn't let me stream on my mobile device w/o subscribing to the $5/mo.
