I'm glad I read this thread, because Darabont leaving explains the descent in quality. I somewhat enjoyed the first season.
Thank god you let us know you are not going to watch anymore. I will sleep better now....

Bump. Just a reminder that Walking Dead Season 2b commences this Sunday on AMC.

I know this show perhaps hasn't been as good as last year, but still very much looking forward to seeing where this will go next. I'm hoping they will now move the plot along beyond Hershel's farmhouse and kinda of felt like the plot was jailed-in a bit for season 2a.

The newspaper today had a good article on the upcoming second part of the season, pretty much saying that the show won't follow the comics as closely, and that they want to establish it as 2 separate universes with some of the same elements.

Also, they mentioned the season finale would be March 18th.

I suspect with the cost-cutting AMC did, that's why they were in one location for so long - I assume it was significantly cheaper to film in mostly that one place.

Good episode....but I hope we don't spend the next half season looking for Lori now.

That storyline about SPOILERLori getting in the car to going off to find the others was just ridiculous! She knew where they had gone to find Hershell, so why bother going after them?

And who were the fellow survivors in the bar? They seemed to know Rick when they mentioned that "He was still alive", yet we learn they'd never met before.

Seriously, if this gets any slower it'll come to a dead stop.

Torontoblue - he says "son of a bitch, they're alive!" (as in not dead)

I guess I mis-read the tone of what he said; I heard the remark as if he knew Rick and was surprised to see him alive.

Great episode. Very suspenseful, and most of the suspense came from the human interaction.

Rick just keeps getting more and more badass. No time to saw off a leg? No problem, just lift the damn leg up off the spike!
