Is there a large outage in downtown toronto today?

My cable and internet were down this morning in my home and my office cable (about 3kms from my home)is also still down as of 2pm today.

Just wondering if there is any news on a big outage today in the core?

Twitter verse is saying lots of problems with cable and internet downtown so you are not alone.

It seems it has been going on for at least four hours

I'm just north of Eglinton and everything's fine here. If you call Rogers, they usually have a report (announcement) if an area is down.

Folks still saying their service is done.

Guess Rogers couldn't handle the heat!

Must be a major hub down for it to be impacting such a wide area for going on 7 hours. Hopefully they can get it back on soon.

its a fiber break, should be up by 11pm

wow still down. Cable internet and phone.

This is why I have never bundled with a cable or telco. If a cable is cut you lose all your services. If you split them then at least you can use your phone or your internet.

I have both cable and telco internet. It gives me redundancy and frankly I pay less for my two services than Rogers Ultimate internet and I have two providers with unlimited and 300GB caps!

At Royal York and Eglinton area...

Service is back but, about 15 HD channels are not coming in...

Sportsnet ON (502)
TheScore (509)
All the OMNI channels
593 - is massively pixellated and scrambled
NBCW is not working

Several more, can't remember them all.

Should I call, or are they still working on fixing issues?
