Does anyone know if the final season will ever be shown in Canada please? I have emailed BBC Canada numerous times and it is hopeless. I cannot find a DVD either.

Well it was only just over a year since Season 3 aired so there is still plenty of time for it to appear.

I could not wait, so I downloaded it from the Internet, as I do with most of the British Shows I watch.

Thank you; I'm not very good at downloading from the Internet so will have to check it out. Unfortunately I was in England last year when the final show aired so could not avoid hearing how it ended but would love to see the final season.

Since there's no DVD out here by now (and BBC Canada still hasn't shown it), I doubt it ever will happen since it's now several years old (the final season ended in the UK in spring 2010).

A couple of years ago I got tired of waiting for BBC Canada, so I bought the UK DVD from AmazonUK, of course if you do that you will have to make sure you have a multi-region DVD player that can also convert the PAL picture to NTSC for your TV....(or a computer that can play them..I think - not too sure about the computer part as I'm not very technical myself! I went the DVD Player route. You may need to do some internet searching to find out about sorting the multi-region/multi-format player here as they aren't actually advertised legally that way in Canada, but it's still doable and not very difficult).

Good luck however you get it, I actually really enjoyed that final season probably the most of any of them.

The complete dvd series as well as series 3 only is available from amazon usa as well (pal region 2) . If you use a mac you can use Handbrake to rip the dvd to your computer or buy a pal machine like Juliedawn mentioned .I am sure there is way to do it on windows as well but maybe someone more versed on that platform could chime in . There is probably a way of changing the region code but i don't know how to do it but here is a page on software to perhaps make your dvd player region free on your computer .

Also VLC will play pal discs http://www.videolan.org/vlc/index.html .Make sure that no other dvd player starts up so you don't eventually lock the disk . VLC is available for all platforms .

Some PBS stations are showing Ashes to Ashes. The third season premieres on WGBH (Boston) on Monday, Jan. 30.

I just saw the season 3 finale on WGBH. That Jan. 30 season 3 premiere I wrote about was in 2012.

I wonder if any other PBS stations will carry it then? I get Detroit and Seattle.
