Just wondering if someone could shed some light on the availability of Dish Care for people living in Newfoundland?
When I search for it on Bell's site, it says it's not available in Newfoundland and when I change my location to Ontario I find this page http://www.bell.ca/shopping/en_CA_ON...h_care.details that says "Available to residents of Ontario and Quebec." Anyone know if I'll be able to get this added to my account or will I be told no when I try? |

I've heard the only place it isn't available is in BC, heck I'm not even considered to be in their service area, but maybe not in NFLD too.

I remember there was some restrcition for BC when I was working there, but don't recall any for Newfoundland
Before you register make the calculation... -Dish care only covers the equipement, not the tech's visit -Dish care doesn't cover any pre-existing damage -Receivers are not covered if problem is caused by water, or because the machine was dropped -Receivers are 99$-699$...dish care is 6.95$ per month. I had 2X3100 from 2003 to 2006 that never had a problem...I only excange them to upgrade them to PVR. Didn't had a problem with my 9200 or 9242 since 2008

I agree. Just added dishcare mainly because 1 have 2 x 9242, 1 x 9200 and 3 6141. My 9200 was slowly going, rebooting all the time so they are sending another 9200 as off today. They were very efficient and courteous aswell. Not normal for Bell

How does Dish Care work once you are signed up? Are you able to cancel it if you want...or are you locked into it for year or something if you sign up for it?
Also, what actually is covered on the account? All receivers and remotes? Even if they were bought used and put on your account? |

Depending on where you live... in Ontario if you have your Phone Service with Bell as well and you use many of the features, check into Bell's Top Phone plan, it includes Dish, Phone, and Wire Care... you may find out by switch some of your plans us you save money. In my case by changing over I actually saved over $15.00, so I'm getting all the Care Packages for free!

I tried to add Dish Care to my service a few years ago and got a message that it was not available in my area. I think it also said that it was only available in Bell's primary coverage area of Ontario and Quebec. ie. where Bell is the phone company. Has that changed since then?

I have just been at the Dish care section of the Bell website. I put in my province of Prince Edward Island and got told Dish Care is not available. Tried Nova Scotia as well. Also shown as not available contrary to streamer's posting. Tried Ontario and got the information page for Dish Care where it says "Available to residents of Ontario and Quebec". Does this make sense to anyone?
