Default True Blood - Season 5 - June 10th

Premieres Sunday, June 26 at 9 p.m. ET/MT, day-and-date with HBO

Based on the popular Sookie Stackhouse books by Charlaine Harris and created by Alan Ball, True Blood heads back to Bon Temps, Louisiana for its much anticipated 12-episode fourth season. Mixing romance, suspense, mystery and humour the series continues to tell the tale of Sookie a human/fairy with telepathic gifts and her on-again off-again romance with 174-year-old vampire Bill Compton.

Anyone else think this season of True Blood was the worst yet? Kind of diverting from Vampires to shape Shifters, Witches, Werewolfs and Fairies.....All over the place.

Anyway - I hope season 5 will be better.

Cheers

They seem to be running out of plot ideas.

This season was absolutely torture to sit through. I only stuck with it because...I'm not sure why. But I think that's it for me.

My understanding was that the seasons were based on the books, with each season being one book.

If so, they have a ways to go to run out of ideas. Bringing the ideas from the books to screen and making it good viewing is another discussion....

It was an interesting season thats for sure...

Most memorable quote from the finally:
Pam vents: “I am so over Sookie and her precious fairy vagina and her unbelievably stupid name. F*** Sookie!”

Next season will be better when Russell Edgington returns to retake his rightful place as vampire king.

Pam's deadpan ennui was more entertaining than all the rest of the characters' angst and lust combined!

"Blah, blah, vampire emergency, blah..."

Regardless of how the books played out the series seems to be going down this road where "normal" folk are the minority. I'm not really enjoying how they keep adding new creatures of lore. It's getting very crowded. Maybe they will add demonic leprechauns and unicorns for season 5.
