Default Sad

After Band of Brothers aired his family asked the public to stop writing and asking for autographs etc as they wanted him to spend the rest of his years in peace. Hopefully he has found that peace.

that is sad.

gee, i watched Band of Brothers a dozen times. to be honest ..part of me always more interested to listen to the veterans speak of there experiences within Easy Company and the war. Fascinated with the courage of all these men .. however, (notably) MAJ Winters standing out, exemplary leadership.

As one of his men said "he was a real soldier"

RIP MAJ Dick Winters

Ditto. To hear what they had to go through, sometimes brought a tear or two. Like BoB and Pacific, to see the actual guys that were portrayed was the highlight for me.

RIP Major Dick Winters. You deserve your spot in the heroes field.

A great hero. Think about the men that had a chance at life following the war because of his leadership.

He wrote a book about 2 years ago that seems to be getting decent reviews. Actually, a few of the BOB wrote books after the mini-series.
