I picked the worst possible time to upgrade my HTPC last weekend. I spent several hours troubleshooting these missing channels. I never imagined they were genuinely OTA (off-the-air!). Thanks to all the posters. You saved me even more wasted time!

I've seen CBUT-DT do that off and on a few times over the past few years but never had any tuner problems with it.

Default 58.8

is the location that 2 Sony tuners originally (a year or so ago) put CBUTDT. However, more recent scans only put it at 2.1...nothing shows up for 58.8 or 58.1.

Yep, CBUT-DT barfed for a few minutes near the end of the game but was fine on the analogue cable signal - I didn't check the analogue OTA signal. The ATSC signal came back with a bit of pixellation and freezing for about 30 seconds and then settled in properly for the rest of the game.

Well, at least it wasn't just me. Analog? What's dat?

For me the game was unwatchable from ~8 minutes remaining to about 4 minutes remaining in the third.

Default 58.8

...popped up on one of my tuners, mysteriously without an "add digital channels" ... just showed up in the tables again.

Are they having signal trouble from Mt. Seymour tonight or is it just me? 2.1, 8.1, 32.1 and 42.1?

I had pixellation with occasional audio dropouts on CBUT-DT for a few moments during the first period of HNIC on Wednesday night, and a bit in the third period.

I did some changes with the antenna mast today, must have a loose connection somewhere. I know what I'll be doing tomorrow...later today.

Default 2.1

Raised my CM4228 about 5 ft. but didn't see much improvement in signal. 2.1 is especially low...hard to get the signal to lock. Its like they've dropped their power. Use to have a signal of 73-76.

2.1 = 55 (324) in & out, mostly out
8.1 = 76 (324)
10.1 = 70 (335)
32.1 = 87 (334)
42.1 = 78 (332)

(channel / signal strength / direction)

CM4228 antenna connected to CM 7777 pre-amp. Anyone have any tips on how to improve 2.1s signal? Thanks in advance.

Some things that corrected my sudden loss are
Check all coaxil cables make sure all the inside core hasen't been pulled back to far they need to be flush.
Switch the balaun leads on the antenna.
Try the system without the amp.
I hope this helps.
