Default RE: New Digital Channels

After being unsuccessful with manual channel additions with my Zinwell 970A DTA box, I used "auto channel scan" and it did lock and put into memory: CIVI DT 17, CHEK DT 49 and 're-added' the suddenly missing CIVT DT 32. CKVU DT 33 appeared as a duplicate '10' with the previous CKVU DT 47 this morning, so now I wonder how CBUT DT 43 and CBUFT DT 26 will work out tomorrow.

Default lack of CHEK-DT audio

pjpete, dtvinvictoria, & trip:

Thanks for the feedback re: CHEK-DT audio. I'll be talking with Al again tomorrow morning. He was exhausting different ideas with the other tech at the transmitter late this afternoon when I called.

Now I'm armed (a Pro gunner type pun) with "it's more than just me."

Will provide an update as soon as I can.

Fred in Saanich.

man...i'm now getting overload with the preamp...part of my goal is to get the seatac stations with minimal dropouts on the locals...instead kvos is always coming in full power but most local is coming in at 1/2 to 3/4 strength...

any thoughts?

I had to remove my pre amp on the 4228 as I was getting erractic events on the locals but great on 24 ( PBS ) the loss of stability on the others was to much for one station with the amp out of the loop I regained great steady streams even at lower signal strenght but nicer SNR. I played and relocated antenna many times to find the balance I was looking and after all that I then had enough signal after all these changes I am able to use an indoor.
Good Luck try variations.

According to my time:

2 CBUT analogue shut down at 00:00:18
26 CBUF analogue shut down at 00:01:56

Just doing a scan to see when 26.1 will come up.

Watching this from Anacortes (LOS with Seymour, more or less), I noticed OMNI went off air at 12:01, then bounced on and off twice before waving analog bye bye for good at 12:02. CBC Analog, good ol' CBUT, went snow at 12:00:37. (sniff!)

Now awaiting the CBCs' return...

As to those Analog sets, don't forget the occasional E-skip from Mexico. We still have that.

Yep, it is worth noting that OMNI 42 analogue had an arrangement with CBC Transmission to use CBC's towers until the DTV Transition cutoff. This all makes sense.
