I have a 9141 Bell reciever connected to a Denon AVR 4308CI via HDMI. For programing that is presented in 5.1 Dolby, am I getting the 5.1 through the HDMI setup, or would I benefit more with routing the audio through an optical cable?
Thanks Cobra |

The HDMI is the easiest and preferred route. If you are not getting 5.1 then its a setup issue (or the broadcast is simply not presented in 5.1)

Here's the FAQ on DD5.1 audio. The DD5.1 signal will be the same via HDMI or optical, provided you have the appropriate settings on the PVR and the AVR:
