Hi,
If I cancel my subscription with Rogers, and want to watch the recordings on my PVR (8300) (I own the unit btw), will i be able to do that? Or will the unit communicate with Rogers and completely disable the unit? |

The unit will function/boot for a while (not sure how long) without a connection to the cable (do not connect it after you cancel). If there's anything on there you want to keep long term, copy it to DVD recorder or HTPC. If you're not planning to go back to Rogers, sell it.

With my 8300 all I did was unplug it in one room and move it to the other room (no cable connection). Connect to the TV and power, powered it on and I got a message saying something like "you can watch while disconnected". I was able to access my recorded list as normal.
