Does anyone know if Scott Laurie will return to Canada anytime soon to continue anchoring CTV News Weekend on CTV News Channel? He's been reporting overseas for a couple of months now.

He has spent many years behind the desk becoming a capable newsreader. Now he's finally getting a chance to earn his chops as a reporter overseas. I remember he was a wet-behind-the-ears local reporter in Montreal when I was in university there. I'm sure he's enjoying this gig. How many weekends behind the newsdesk can a young journalist take?
