Default Mobilicity launches in Vancouver November 18

Hot of the heels of their launch today in Edmonton, Mobilicity announced they will be launching their Vancouver coverage tomorrow, Novemeber 18.

Quote:
November 17, 2010 – Mobilicity today marched into Vancouver, rallying against wireless contracts and the surprise charges and extra fees consumers have been forced to pay the country’s incumbent carriers – until now.

The unlimited wireless carrier, which will have over 100 points of distribution in the Greater Vancouver Area when it launches its state-of-the-art 3.5G network tomorrow, deployed its troops (literally) to spread the good news to Vancouverites.

Dressed in magenta fatigues (Mobilicity’s signature colour) and singing the praises of contract-free unlimited wireless, the ‘Magenta Militia’ paraded through the city while Mobilicity executives held a press conference nearby at the carrier’s corporate store in Richmond.

Expect news on the imminent Ottawa launch as soon as tomorrow.

Is Calgary still scheduled for 2011?

Calgary is next after Ottawa, but I wouldn't expect it until 2011 sometime. They haven't given a firm timeline on Calgary, and as there is less than two months remaining in the year it seems unlikely to happen within 2010.
