It has now been over five years since cable telephony first launched in this country and the number of Canadians receiving cable telephone service from Canada's big four cable companies - Rogers, Shaw, Vidéotron and Cogeco - now tops 3.5 million.
Using numbers published in the respective company’s most recent financial results, Digital Home has calculated that the big four cable providers now have 3,547,003, up 18.2% from the same time in 2009 and up 46% from the same time in 2008.

Wow!
No surprise though; I like my Shaw Digital Phone and had long since been eagerly awaiting more competition in the industry. Hugh, do you know if the telcos are gaining a similar amount of TV subscribers and it's just customer shuffling, or are the cable companies just gaining oodles of customers? m.
