The big problem I have with this list is that they don't wait until the end of the year. With several unreleased products, I don't know how they can easily claim they are "the best" (especially in the top 5 like the Galaxy Tab).

Exactly. Android 2.2 is number one, but another Android version will likely be released by the end of the year. How can 2.2 be definitively better?

Fiscal year, not calendar year.

As long as the report comes out at the same time each year, you know which products were best for a certain 12 month period.
