Default When to point North?

This might sound a bit naive but, living in Northern BC I know to point my dish roughly South to look for a signal from 91. If I go to Arizona do I need to look North?

Do a search for "bell florida". Several previous threads indicate the difficulty associated with getting BTV in the southern US due to satellite footprint limitations. Example:
