xbox preferences? offline mode? - Canadian TV, Computing and Home Theatre Forums

I don't want xbox to log me in automatically when starting up.

How do i accomplish this task? Or perhaps I can log on as "offline"?

I don't log in right away can't remember how to set that up,

but once you do, before you log in, hit the center button on the controller so that menu screen pops up, scan down to the end, there is a screen with a preferences option, go to online or what ever, and put appear offline,
you have to do it every time though its not permanent

Sign into xbox live
press the guide button
go to the settings blade and select profile
go to the auto sign in setting and make your changes.
