Default 2010 NFL Sunday Ticket pricing

Do any of you know if Shaw Direct has announced its pricing for Sunday Ticket yet? I'm assuming they'll be offering the package deal for Sunday Ticket and Centre Ice again this year, but I haven't seen anything on Shaw's website.

It is usually announced in early August. The nice thing is they have 3 more HD PPV channels to pull from, hopefully they will take advantage of them for NFLST & NHLCI.

I'm not sure if Shaw Direct will actually have 3x more HD PPV channels to pull from on the fall. I believe these PPV channels are on transponder 16 which is the sports PPV transponder. My guess is the HD PPV feeds will be shut off during sprots broadcasts and will be used for SD broadcasts. The HD Broadcasts will likely continue on the other PPV HD transponder.

I doubt there will be more games in HD. I asked the question last month to Ask Jim and got a usual canned response that they did not know.

Default Talked with them last night

Only one HD Channel still registered in their system. Now what I can't figure out is why they won't use the Big 10 HD channels on Sunday. I never saw one event on those channels over the course of the year and being a Michigan Fan, I was looking a lot.

That is very sad in this day & time.

Many times last year the one game that was on the HD channel was a repeat of one on CBS, FOX or SportsNet, and they never used this channel to show one of the 4:15pm EST games...

Big10 also only has 1 HD channel and it shares the same transponder location as the NFL Sunday Ticket HD channel.

If there are any additional HD feeds, it will be 1 or 2 more max.

I don't get why they don't use the 5-6 HD channels set aside for NHL Centre Ice
There are rarely NHL games on Sunday afternoons and even when there are they are on NBC HD.

My contact at Shaw Direct advised that there will be 4x NFL Sunday Ticket HD feeds this fall, 4x Big Ten Network overflow HD feeds and 9x NHL Centre Ice HD feeds (4 of which are Sportsnet duplicates). Because this is not official, this should be treated as "rumor" for the time being.

SD response to my Sunday Ticket question:

"We had added more HD channels to the NFL Sunday Ticket this year. With a subscription to the NFL Sunday Ticket you will have access to channels 422-435 in standard definition and channels 437-440 in HD. The NFL Sunday Ticket is $29.99/month and must be kept for the entire season – September 12th to January 2nd."
