Arggg, they seem to have been down for most of the evening and now that they're up, I'm back to the old web site and no more queues . Hopefully this is just an interim measure while they work out whatever the heck went wrong today.

My version of the UI with My List is still up under my browser and iPhone 4G.
I suspect my version of the UI could "win". Netflix will usually pick up the version of the UI that becomes the most popular among test groups then push it out to everyone. I personally prefer "My List" so I am crossing my fingers...

Well... "My List" is showing up on the UI, but it's empty though !!! I guess it'll likely come back later.

I'm back to the new site, with the "My Instant Queue" and all of my queued titles.

Sure enough, "My List" content is back to what it was with about 20 selections for me.

Default Language preferences

Under Taste Profile, Taste Preferences, Languages, they added "Canadian French" as a language... this is new and was definitely not there last October.

I had the issue also yesterday. I was, however, able to choose a movie and play it on the PS3. It seems that once the movie was selected, it streamed flawlessly.

As for the language setup, I could not find the setting. Is your browser currently set as french ?

none of my menus are french, it's all english. But there are options to tell them what type of movies languages you like, (Franch/Greek/Italien/mandarin, you name it) and they added french canadian to the list, I know somebody else mentioned some french menus, but I haven't seen anything like this myself.

Got it! I thought it was more of a setting. Thanks.

Still waiting for a search on audio language.

Sure enough, there's Netflix Api changes in the works, and that is very much related to multiple language support. Have a look at this, taken from the Netflix Tech blog :
[...]
We’re making some changes to the Open API program to support the Netflix focus on international streaming. [...]

This change clears the path for us to add new features to the API to support international catalogs and languages. Eventually, we plan to expand our public developer community to other regions, allowing developers from around the world to build even more amazing apps and sites powered by the Netflix API.

"French Canadian" is an option for the audio soundtrack in some of the industry meta-data, as distinguished from "French" - folks in Quebec sound a lot different than those in Paris. But I wouldn't rely on this too much - there will probably be a lot of Quebec-voiced audio tracks filed under plain "French", since my memory is that the distributors aren't exactly rigorous about specifying stuff like this!

I agree
Lots of movies are dubbed in Quebec in international french, and some others will have a more French Canadian sound. The line is not always very clear. The original Canadian French movies themselves would have a Canadian sound for sure, but French is French ...
Merci Netflix pour vos efforts. Je me croise les doigts.

I'm surprised that it's been almost a month now since their announcement and the start of the roll-out of the new website yet still not everyone has it. And for those of us fortunate to have the new site, it's still called an "instance queue" for me and "my list" for just about everyone else. (Anyone else with it called "instant queue"????)

I can understand that they roll-out to selected target groups first but after 4 or more weeks I would have thought that the "experiment" part would be over and everyone would have it..... just my thoughts.
