Default Shaw PVR with my own Harddrive?

I was wondering, is it possible to use your own harddrive as a Shaw PVR Expander? I have an esata harddrive I figured I'd like to try and use with my Pace HD Terminal (DC758D)

But I'm new to PVR in general, and I'm not sure how I go about doing this. Any ideas?

Thanks
