Hi. Just thought I would pass on that imo, the dolphin hd browser is so far the best of the android browsers that I have found. Opera mini 5 was the fastest but it lacked the all important multitouch and tap zoom, skyfire was very limited in its advertised video playing capabilities (HURRY UP WITH FROYO UPDATE MOTOROLA) and could be sluggish, and the default milestone browser would lock up too often for my liking. So so far, I would suggest dolphin as a phone browser for android phones.

Thanks for the info. I just received my Nexus One on Friday of last week, so I haven't had too much time to experiment yet. I haven't found the stock browser too bad, though.

The stock Nexus browser is also not bad.
I had tried Dolphin a while back and didn't like it at the time compared to the browser that HTC supplies for SenseUI phones. That is the best of all the Android browsers IMHO.

Yeah I've read that about the htc browser but unfortunately I don't think I can get it for my milestone.
As for the dolphin browser, the hd one is better than the regular one I found as they have done a bunch of updates that really improved the browser recently. I felt the same way as you jvincent when I tried the dolphin browser when I first got my phone but with the last update it really kicks butt.

Yes, the HTC browser requires all the HTC infrastructure, so it's not portable.
Sounds like I need to give Dolphin HD a try. Thanks for the head's up.

Dolphin HD has a sweet interface now, slide the screen to either side for bookmarks on left and add-ons to the right.
Its so good i am dumbfounded as to why no one thought of this before! |

Can anyone get fullscreen with DolphinHD anymore? I used to, but now it won't go fullscreen - the top notification bar is always visible.

Go into settings and "check" fullscreen. That works on my milestone.

That doesn't seem to work since the Android 2.2 Froyo update.

pull the screen to show the right side tool bar, there is an icon with arrows pointing outward, click that.

Yeah thanks for the tips guys, but no go. Perhaps it is a bug with Froyo and DolphinHD.
And yes, on the Nexus One. |

There is an update for this browser that I just downloaded. Maybe that will help you.

Just a note that today's update to version v2.3 fixed the fullscreen bug for Froyo users. Back to fullscreen goodness!
